Allen Passerallo is Senior Vice President of Physician Preference Items (PPI) Spend Management at Vizient, where he leads strategies that help healthcare organizations optimize the cost, quality, utilization, and value of high-impact clinical products and services. His portfolio spans orthopedics, cardiovascular, surgical, neurovascular, and other physician-preference categories, with a focus on supplier partnerships, contract value, data integrity, implant standardization, and clinically informed decision-making.
Allen joined Vizient in 2024 as Vice President of Orthopedic Category Management and was elevated to his current role in December 2025. Before joining Vizient, he held leadership positions with two nationally recognized academic medical centers: Johns Hopkins Medicine, an internationally recognized academic health system affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Cleveland Clinic, a leading nonprofit academic health system and major quaternary-care referral center. In both organizations, his work focused on implant standardization, physician engagement, strategic sourcing, and procurement improvement across complex clinical environments.
At Vizient, Allen has played a key role in advancing the organization’s ambulatory surgery strategy, including the ASC Impact program, which helps ambulatory organizations improve standardization, contract compliance, reimbursement performance, and overall procedural economics. He also supports the development of Procedural Analytics, data governance, product attribution, virtual item master capabilities, and clinically integrated supply chain strategies.
With more than 14 years of experience in healthcare supply chain, sourcing, and physician preference management, Allen brings a distinctive combination of provider-side leadership, clinical knowledge, analytics, and market expertise. He is recognized for translating complex market and utilization dynamics into practical strategies that engage physicians, strengthen member value, improve supplier alignment, and support sustainable financial performance.
