Program requirements

Everything you need to know to apply for the Healthcare Analytics Fellowship.

The fellowship is designed for candidates with a master’s degree in a related field – including MHA, MBA with a healthcare concentration, MPH, PharmD, MSHI, or MHI – who have completed an internship within a healthcare setting. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with project management capabilities are essential.

Applications require a resume and one-page personal statement. Candidates who advance to final interviews are also required to submit a project portfolio that demonstrates analytical and strategic capabilities.

Preceptor: Dr. David Levine, MD

Chief Medical Officer, Data and Digital, David leads Vizient’s data and digital strategy and partners with health system executives nationwide to advance healthcare through analytics, performance improvement, and AI. With over 20 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine and extensive leadership in healthcare analytics, David serves as a subject matter expert for a council of chief medical and quality officers for academic medical centers.

Mentor: Arati Kurani, PharmD, BCPS

Vice President, Advanced Analytics and Informatics, Arati and her team work closely with stakeholders, identifying opportunities by benchmarking utilization and outcomes with the goal of reducing variations in care.Arati started as a clinical informaticist at Vizient, working with organizations to identify and implement opportunities to improve utilization and outcomes. Arati has also served as clinical coordinator of drug policy and clinical resource management.

Mentor: Saloni Jain, PharmD, MPA

Senior Vice President, Intelligence and Research, Saloni’s primary role involves supporting analytics across Vizient’s data offerings with a focus on the clinical, operational and ambulatory suites of products. Saloni and her team closely collaborate with the Advisory Services and Performance Improvement groups within Vizient on cost reduction, variation in care, and quality improvement engagements.

Anna Leland

Anna Leland, MPH

Anna received a Bachelor’s degree in Human Health and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology with a certificate in Social Determinants of Health from Emory University. Through internships across diverse US health systems, she contributed to initiatives in healthcare operations, quality improvement, regulatory readiness, clinical research, and performance analytics. These experiences inspired a passion for using data and evidence-based strategies to improve healthcare delivery, aligning with Vizient’s mission to advance healthcare quality and performance.

Stuti Kapadia

Stuti Kapadia, MHA

Stuti received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Through an extended administrative residency at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, she contributed to strategic and operational initiatives focused on patient access, workforce planning, and care delivery improvement. Stuti has a passion for using data to drive meaningful improvements in patient care and is excited to help advance Vizient’s goal of improving the healthcare delivery experience for providers.
