Robert Lerman, MD, is vice president of cardiovascular category management for the Vizient clinical spend management team. In this role, he leads a group of cardiovascular experts who align value propositions for both providers and suppliers, maximizing the impact of every dollar spent in healthcare. Dr. Lerman practiced clinical cardiac electrophysiology for almost two decades in Southern California before moving to a physician executive role with a large health system, developing new programs in clinical supply chain and clinical integration. Before coming to Vizient, he served as chief medical officer for early-stage companies in the cardiovascular remote monitoring space. Dr. Lerman completed a Bachelor of Science at Stanford University and received his MD at Albany Medical College. He completed an internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center followed by clinical fellowships in cardiovascular disease at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles.
