About Sushma

As a member of the intelligence team, Sushma contributes to thought leadership within the financial strategy arena, including payment and policy dynamics, value-based care delivery, and revenue growth. Passionate about advancing health equity via a value-based care lens, she assists with research and prepares expert presentations and publications on topics relating to payer/provider relationships and financial alignment to support strategic goals.

Sushma also helps clients use Vizient Strategy Intelligence data assets to drive decision-making and guide financial strategy.

Prior to joining the team, Sushma was a physician practice administrator at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. She oversaw practice operations for three pediatric divisions (developmental, pediatric intensive care and comprehensive care) within the employed academic physician group. Earlier, at University Hospitals Health System, Sushma worked in various roles, beginning in hospital operations and progressing to physician practice operations. She started her health care career at UPMC in Pittsburgh as an analyst within the surgery department.

Sushma received her BS degree in nutritional sciences from The Ohio State University and her master of health administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health.
