About Heather

Heather Pace is responsible for monitoring the ambulatory and biosimilar pipeline and developing evidence-based clinical deliverables that support health system pharmacy practice.

Prior to joining Vizient, Pace served as a clinical manager for a federal payer, where she was responsible for monitoring pharmacy utilization and expenditures, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance. Her professional interests include ambulatory pharmacy practice, biosimilars, evidence-based medicine, and formulary management.

Pace earned her PharmD from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy, where she also completed a PGY2 residency in drug information. She previously served as an associate clinical professor at the UMKC School of Pharmacy, teaching evidence-based medicine, precepting Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students and drug information fellows. During her tenure at UMKC, she provided formulary management support for an academic medical center and state prescription assistance programs.
