Chris Brewer is a strategic and collaborative healthcare leader with experience advancing enterprise initiatives, engaging executive stakeholders, and translating industry trends into actionable strategies.
As Senior Director of Networks at Vizient, Brewer connects health system CEOs to exchange insights, collaborate on shared challenges, and identify solutions to the most pressing issues facing healthcare. He leads strategies to engage, retain, and grow Vizient’s Networks offering and partners with executive leaders to design and facilitate network meetings, advisory committees, task forces, and webinars.
Brewer brings broad experience across network leadership, operations, sourcing, growth strategy, acquisitions, procurement, consulting, and pharmacy benefit management. Before joining Vizient Networks, he supported Vizient’s Spend Management offering by leading contract negotiations, establishing sourcing best practices, developing customized solutions for major health systems, and serving as director of operations for an aggregation group.
Earlier in his career, Brewer supported acquisitions involving more than 50 locations across six states, contributing to over $160 million in annual revenue growth. He also led procurement initiatives for surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers across 26 states and contributed to a Vizient savings guarantee that exceeded $60 million in less than two years.
Brewer earned a BBA in Finance from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Texas Tech University.
