Carolyn Liptak, MBA, BS Pharm, is the pharmacy executive director for regulatory compliance and financial performance in the Vizient Center for Pharmacy Practice Excellence. She brings extensive leadership experience across inpatient, outpatient, retail, and specialty pharmacy operations. Her expertise includes clinical strategy, regulatory compliance, revenue integrity, medication safety, sterile compounding, controlled substance diversion surveillance, medication cost optimization, labor productivity, and patient and employee satisfaction.
Before joining Vizient, Carolyn held pharmacy leadership positions at Texas Children's Hospital, Memorial Hermann Health System, The Medical Center of Aurora, and the University of Colorado Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. Carolyn is based in Denver, Colorado.
