About Donna

Donna Colby is a consulting director on Vizient’s clinical integration and value analysis team, with more than 40 years of experience in nursing, risk management, supply chain, value analysis, and healthcare operations.

Donna specializes in clinical supply integration, custom-designed governance and value analysis programs, physician engagement, clinical supply standardization, and streamlined new product request processes. She has designed and launched successful, large-scale value analysis transformations for several of the nation’s leading health systems.

Previously, Donna served as a Consulting Director with Huron Consulting Group, PwC, and FTI Consulting, where she led numerous physician-preference items and purchased services cost-savings engagements. She also served as Corporate Clinical Resource Manager for Orlando Health and AdventHealth. She owned and operated a healthcare risk-management consulting firm serving ambulatory surgery centers in Orlando, Florida, for more than 10 years.

Donna holds active registered nurse licenses in California and Florida. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, and a master of health care administration degree with a specialization in health care operations from Capella University. She is a certified materials & resource professional (CMRP), certified value analysis healthcare professional (CVAHP), and fellow of the association for health care resource & materials management (FARHMM).
