Crankshaft Handling, Inspection, and Weld Cell

• Material handling, inspection, and weld cell utilizing Fanuc R2000/165 robot
• Conveyor drives part to cuing station
• Robot picks up crankshaft with end effecter designed and built by Vizient
• Robot loads crankshaft into station for gear installation
• Robot takes part to inspection station where laser sensors are used to make sure the key is installed and gears are timed properly
• Robot takes part to weld station and manipulates part under torch to weld gears
• Part is presented to a bar code reader and gravity fed conveyor to exit the cell
